Medini Ratnayake CIC, CISR, Attorney-at-law (Hons.) SL

During her career as an Attorney-at-law in Sri Lanka, Medini specialized in civil litigation & commercial law. After immigrating to the United States in year 2002, Medini developed her career as a Licensed Insurance Broker/Agent. She has earned her Certified Insurance Counselor & Certified Insurance Services Representative designations and currently works for a leading Insurance Brokerage Firm in San Gabriel Valley, California.

Medini received her primary education at Lindsay Girls School and enrolled at Visakha Vidyalaya Colombo for her secondary education becoming All Island Third from Grade Five Scholarship exam. Since her childhood, Medini excelled in aesthetic studies representing her school in poetry, drama, and debating competitions.Medini’s passion for Music and Performing Arts was brought to California, her home away from home, and was the inspiration to found Serendib Foundation for Music & Performing Arts.

Asela Ratnayake, MBCS

Asela is a Software Engineer by profession with a career of 20 years in both technical and managerial capacity. He had served as a Senior Data Base Administrator on Relational Data Base Management Systems around the globe. Presently Asela works for IBM as a lead DBA for one of IBM’s premium clients Wal-Mart, managing a team of DBAs on 24x7 Data Base Management System support for Wal-Mart stores and distribution centers worldwide.

Asela was an ardent student of music and drama at Ananda Sastralaya MV Kotte, under the guidance of music maestro Rohana Weerasinghe. He hosted events at the school and at the national cadet corps as a master of ceremonies. Asela’s commitment to promote Sri Lankan Music & Performing arts in United States was the driving force in establishing Serendib Foundation for Music & Performing Arts in California USA.
